Modern Day
Follows loosely with DuckTales 2017 reboot canon. Moderately canon-divergent.Launchpad McQuack works for Scrooge McDuck doing any and every odd job the rich duck asks of him. His main duty is to chauffeur McDuck around, but he's flown McDuck's planes and helicopters, and driven his submarines and jeeps. He is also considered the muscle of the group. He is very loyal to the entire Clan McDuck and would do anything to protect them from harm.LaunchDad AU: Launchpad is in a relationship with Della Duck and gladly calls Huey, Dewey, and Louie his sons. Whether or not the boys are his own or he simply adopted them is shrouded in mystery.
Darkwing Duck
Initially just a pilot for hire, Launchpad McQuack found himself with a new job as Darkwing Duck's faithful sidekick! Launchpad is the straight man of the bunch, reining in Darkwing's wackiness and ego as best he can while helping him stop crime in St. Canard. He's also the tech-savvy guy of the duo, most notably building the Thunderquack and maintaining the Ratcatcher.During slow times in the city, Launchpad helps Drake Mallard watch over the rambunctious Gosalyn who, like her adoptive father, is a handful.Unofficially, many fans including myself like to think of Darkwing's continuity as having occurred after that of DuckTales Classic. While we never see Launchpad work for Scrooge, it's easy to think that he might have been employed by him at some point earlier in his life, and that he retired from globe-trotting adventures to try something new as he got a little older.

DuckTales Classic
Where it all began. Launchpad McQuack is a bold, chaotic individual who acts like Donald Duck in many ways. That isn't by coincidence; he was invented to take Donald's place in the DuckTales cartoon! As such, he does many things Donald would do for Huey, Dewey, and Louie, such as serve as their Woodchuck Scoutmaster and act as their mentor in life (when Scrooge isn't doing so). He also leaves trails of destruction in his wake. But just because he's similar to Donald doesn't mean he's not his own duck! Launchpad is nothing if not consistently chaotic but thankfully, unlike Donald, he's always positive and happy-go-lucky when things go wrong. Launchpad also actively strives to be a hero and good role model for the boys and Webby and doesn't hesitate on calling out phony idols.
